Done an 80's one at Butlins Minehead. Was a laugh, but full of absolute cunts. Mind you, it was at Butlins in Minehead, so to be expected

Went to Disco Inferno 2 years on the bounce at Bognor Butlins. Had a fantastic time. The 70s weekender brings in a slightly older crowd, which I personally think is better.

Ignore any snobbery that might head this way. It's a fucking chuckle.

Mate of mine went to a soul weekender at Butlins and said that there was a huge amount of willing minge in attendance. His mate had a threesome with a couple of doris's there.

Im going next year.

Did the Camber Soul Weekender thing in 2010 with a decent crowd.

The Luther Vandrossy sort of music was not really my thing although had a right laugh all weekend. Drinks, mates, all staying together, MILFS and very late parties, happy days indeed.

That New Day Festival might be worth a look if you know anyone that's been ;-)

I did the seventies weekend a couple of weeks back at Bognor. Some of the music was as dross as I remember it (save all your kisses for me) but the performers who threw themselves into it and got the crowd going, earned their money and got a good response. Lots of people in fancy dress, everyone well oiled and having a good time. You didn't have to be off strictly to venture onto the dance floor either, so I enjoyed myself. Surprisingly, no aggro to speak of. One interesting couple of exhibitionists, whose outfits were designed to catch the eye, seemed to be desperate to gain others people's attention. The age range was about 30 to 70, with most people in their 50s I would guess.

The up side was the cheap accommodation, the good atmosphere, the laughs and the late night dancing and drinking.

The down side was the smell as you walked into the main hall, the sticky floor, the rush to get a table early on and drinking Worthington's out of plastic.

Went minehead the other week for 70's. Music was shit, but its a laugh. Reckons an 80's weekend would have been better

I've been to the soul weekend a few times and it's a great weekend and a great laugh.

As someone else said, forget the snobbery because that's usually from people who haven't even been there. They've spent a fortune doing up the Bognor resort and it's decent.

Did shiine last year and an 80s one about 15 years ago . Recommended good weekend away

Only complaint is minehead is a long drive back.

They aren't really supposed to be taken seriously are they it's just a massive adult party/shag fest in a place that's normally predominantly designed for kids where

Queens I did over 40 southports. Didn't like minehead though.

There are serious music weekenders and there are piss ups at butlins

I've always thought they were massive piss ups where you will inevitably end up nailing some ropey old slag.

In short, a normal weekend for most WHOers.
